'Just Married' - Part 1...EPISODE 1 - The Morning After the Wedding Before...'Just Married' - Part 1... by Dmofosho
It's daylight somewhere; sharp, hot sunlight cuts the scene into a mixture of deep shadows and painful amber sun. In shafts, they highlight a scene of absolute chaos. Objects appear in fragments, like photographs at a crime scene, with the same kind of slightly-shocking resolution of a corpse in the dark caught in a camera's flash. A shattered tv set is slumped against a sofa missing a couple of cushions, its screen obliterated and glass scattered around it like cracked quartz blood. A grizzly bear - something that wouldn't look out of place in a hunting lodge - its taxidermy face frozen in a roar, leans drunkenly against a wall with an empty scotch bottle in its yellowing teeth and a cowboy hat on its head. A pile of a dozen or so fresh grapefruit sit arranged into a pyramid like a stack of cannonballs on top of a cracked glass coffee table. E
Just Married - Part 1 (continued)...The scene reopens on deep, dark night. Uninhibited by light pollution, the Milky Way spills across the heavens like a glittering slick of white diamonds. A great expanse of desert badland elides away in every direction; dotted with sagebrush, rocks, distant mountains and a star-freckled sky. A coyote skips its way through the landscape, looking for a gone-midnight snack.Just Married - Part 1 (continued)... by Dmofosho
9 miles outside Elko, Nevada...
The coyote turns its head, ears pricked up at a noise drawing his attention. Looking towards the sound, the mortified animal is bathed in light, the sound growing ever louder.
Harley and Ivy's getaway plane screams out of the sky towards the helpless beast. Perhaps with no understanding of what it is seeing, just visible though the cockpit windows are an equally helpless pair of women; Ivy has a hold on Harley's neck and is trying to throttle her, Harley just looks like she doesn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Teen Titans: Shadowpact pt.3Solomon Grundy and Gentleman Ghost had arrived at the ancient tree in the center of a dense forest where their master, Blackbriar Thorn, had been imprisoned.Teen Titans: Shadowpact pt.3 by technomizer
The tree stood in the center of a small clearing in the center of the forest, a few feet away in all directions from the rest of the forest around it. A number of remains of stone ruins were scattered about, showing that the area used to be used for the old order of druids who’d served under Thorn centuries ago. The tree itself had dark bark, making it look like a malformed growth from the earth. It was thick and taller than most of the tress around it. A small set of crumbled stone steps were set in front of it leading to the center where distorted shape of what seemed like a man was carved yet also looked like it was grown from the tree itself.
As both servants stood before the tree Ghost took a step forward and revealed both the Staff of Thorns and the Mortis Orb, saying “We have acquired your staff and orb, master
A Marvel-ous Christmas Poem'Twas the night before ChristmasA Marvel-ous Christmas Poem by OrionSTARB0Y
And above New York’s snowy streets
Swung Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
With a deadline to meet.
"I have to get these pics to Jonah
Before midnight draws near,”
Said the flustered Wall Crawler
Who still needed a gift for Mary Jane, the poor dear.
He had already missed dinner
For a scuffle with Doc Ock,
And if he didn’t make it up to her,
She would surely change the lock!
But as soon as he arrived at the Bugle,
Damn his Parker luck!
The offices were closed
With no chance for a buck.
Before he could curse
Or break down and cry,
Along lurked Venom
Pummeling Spidey from the sky.
He smiled a toothy grin,
"What a wonderful night!
We’ve been bad all year,
But we’ll settle for a bite!”
Oh great, though the Spider,
Not my black, gooey friend!
I’ve got no time for Brock now.
Will my bad luck never end?
And so they began, as always,
With a one-ended brawl
In which Venom
Thunderbolts: RoguesTitle: Thunderbolts: RoguesThunderbolts: Rogues by angmarbucket
Summary: Baron Zemo is back to remake the Thunderbolts, and restore them to their former glory. Or maybe even higher.
In a dark bog far from human settlement, something neither man nor monster stalked between the gnarled and mossy trees. With each step it squelched against the wet earth as its hulking form of deteriorating vegetation, clay, and vein-like branches stumbled through the low fog. Its limbs did not catch on any branches or trip over sunken obstacles. Where there was no space to move, it simply squeezed effortlessly between whatever blocked its path. Its globular red eyes, too large and round to betray any real malice, took in the darkness with ease as it prowled its new home, already growing used to the moist terrain.
He was called the Man-Thing by some, and the Vorgonus Koth by a very select few.
Taking in the larger trees which might offer some degree of shelter, he felt st
